 Inconel 625 welding notes

1.Preparation before welding
A. electrode preheating: electrode preheating 300 degrees C, heat preservation 1 hours, after use must be used up within 4 hours, otherwise you must re heating, re baking number may not be less than 2 times.
B. construction environment: manual welding environment wind speed shall not be greater than 8m/ seconds, air humidity shall not be greater than 90%, rainy days try to avoid welding.
C. welding interface preparation, flat stitching welding seam, must ensure that groove preparation and equipment size meet the requirements of the process, fillet welds must ensure that the corner welding parts assembly gap < 0.5mm
D. must be strictly using arc plate, welding hot cracking of the material position is basically in the arc starting and stopping position.

2. welding process
A. welding must be in strict accordance with the welding process, using DCRP mode, the current control in 80-100A (diameter 3.2 electrode), welding speed control in 15-19cm/ minutes, reduces the welding swing or not to swing, to reduce the welding hot crack.
B. welding temperature between the layers must be strictly controlled, infrared thermometer measuring, less than 100 degrees C can be the next layer of welding.
C. each bead must be cleaned before welding the next layer; after welding in weld surface slag and spatter clean, welding defects in the process of cleaning and polishing with angle grinder, grinding time must be controlled locally, to prevent the situation of high temperature hot cracks.
D. the weld height of fillet welds must be strictly controlled so as to avoid the excessive stress caused by excessive welding feet and form hot cracks.
E. welding arc must use arc plate, arc parts must have a certain time to pause, to receive parts of the welded seam with rear arc, otherwise easy to produce hot crack

3. after welding treatment
Each bead must be clean for nextlayer welding; welding seam will promptly after the surface of the slag splashing and clean welding defects in the process of cleaning and polishing with the grinder, must prevent the situation of high temperature hot cracks.
